Google added public transport traffic information for the city of London on Google Maps, enabling the user to establish and plan routes in one of the largest metropolitan areas in Europe.
The service provides all public transport connections available from one location to another, using the address or points of interest such as restaurants. Click on “Get directions” and you will get suggestions for your route.
This new functionality will also be available for the mobile version of Google Maps, where it takes advantage of your current location to determine the best way to get to your destination.
Users of the Android, you will also be able to receive alerts when you arrive at your destination or when it is necessary to transfer to another bus or train line.
Carris, Metro: wake up, please!
